Trip to Italy
Fidgety
Road trip
Over the past few days, we've been in Italy to visit this factory, among other things, and to meet the Italians in person, as one should do with them. I say "we" because I made this trip with my wife and eldest daughter. Four days, three nights, and almost 3,000 km of driving. I felt I couldn't do that with my two youngest Lanzas. In retrospect, it was very valuable, especially because my eldest daughter—who is 11—could use some extra attention. What better way to do it than a good old-fashioned road trip!?

During those four days, we visited my great-great-grandfather's birthplace (Pinzolo, a magnificent village in the Dolomites). Then we went to Garda and Como. And in between, we also visited my own street, near Lake Iseo. A fantastic trip that was successful both professionally and personally. Because while continuity is debatable in a business context, it's even more important in a personal context.
Future
I regularly think about all the things I still want to achieve in my professional life, but I also made the choice to become a father back then. And I don't think my children care whether I build a successful brand or not. They want me to be there for them. I have to say, I personally find it quite a challenge to find that balance. In fact, I find it very difficult. Yet, I know I'd rather be remembered as a good father than as a successful entrepreneur. Of course, I work hard every day to achieve both ;).
Buona giornata,
Carlo Lanza

Over the past few months, I've been focused on finding new partners who can produce socks just as good as my current partner. I can now say that this search has been successful. Naturally, with an Italian partner, because Carlo Lanza socks should be made in Italy (in my opinion).
