About this collection

Knee-high socks

Take a look at an Italian in a suit. Chances are he is wearing knee-high socks. In Italy it is almost a given: when you sit down, you see no bare skin, just a neat line from trouser to shoe. A small detail that makes your whole outfit look more polished.

And knee-high socks are back. We see them more and more among young people, who are rediscovering the classic long sock.

Cashmere or merino wool

There are knee-high socks in cashmere with cotton, soft and wearable all year round, and knee-high socks in merino wool for the coldest days. They reach to just below the knee, stay in place and keep your legs warm when the weather is raw. The toe is linked by hand in Italy. All yarns are dyed according to the OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 label. This means no harmful chemicals are used in the dyeing process. Better for the environment, and kinder to your skin.

Frequently asked questions

Why knee-high socks?

Because they reach to just below the knee, you see no bare leg when you sit down. That is etiquette in menswear: it looks polished and it also keeps your legs warmer.

What is the difference between merino wool and ordinary wool?

Merino wool comes from the merino sheep and has a much finer fibre than ordinary sheep's wool. That is why it feels soft and doesn't itch, not even directly on your skin. Merino wool doesn't absorb moisture, it wicks it away. Cotton, on the other hand, does absorb moisture. Merino wool is also self-cleaning, so it is less prone to odour. And it keeps you warm in winter and fresh in summer. Ordinary wool is coarser, feels rougher and is often warmer and heavier.

Which sizes are available?

The knee-high socks come in 40-43 and 44-47.

How do you best wash knee-high socks?

Wash them inside out on a wool programme, at a maximum of 30 degrees, without fabric softener, and let them air dry. Preferably don't put them in the dryer.
